About Me

I'M TAVONN

Hey guys! My name is Tavonn Salter. I am an NASM certified personal trainer, Owner of Nothing Was Given Life. From the start of my sports journey, I have always wanted to be a Life coach. I grew up in Atlanta Georgia. I started playing football my senior year in high school. I wouldn't call myself the superstar player. I was just eager to play football and prove a lot of people wrong that didn't give me a fair shot. Right after graduating high school, I left with zero offers and no scholarships. I attended Paine College to further my education and become a part of a football team in 2014.  A little in between attending Paine college yet my school year was cut short. I moved back to Atlanta Georgia to start narrowing down my love for football. I spend countless hours training while attending Strayers University.  Later after finishing up at Strayers, in 2015. I decided to walk on at University of Tennessee Martin to be a part of an D1 program. I enrolled in 2015 fall semester of school year to become a qualified student athlete. I imagined me playing my first collegiate football game there. Where I would receive my first Division 1 offer to play football for 4 years. All sounds good right? Well shortly after that I was cut from the Football Team. I found myself back in Atlanta Georgia working multiple jobs while taking online classes to become a qualified student athlete.  Sad to say wasn't anything going my way, but that didn't keep me pounding away to prove that I deserve to play division 1 football. After completing my credit hours at University of Tennessee Martin.  I moved away from home to start at a community Junior College Mt San Antonio. Although this was far from home for me, I had a great feeling this go around. All started with me living with 7 different people in a 1-bedroom apartment. I had the mindset of earning everything no matter the circumstances. I was hungry, dedicated and ready to finally play some football. Finally, what I wished for came true I started playing football for the very first time in my life. I felt it was time to show all my hard work in skills. However, that was proven not only to myself but to my first Division 1 Football offer from Middle Tennessee State University. Where I committed and signed there in 2017. I spend 2 years there and graduated with my bachelor's degree in business management.  Right after graduating I was expected to be a Draft Pick in the NFL after my performance at pro day in 2019. However shortly after the draft I was invited to the Oakland Raiders minicamp to perform. My performance wasn't the problem I was overly excited to be playing at the highest level after all I been through. Sadly, to say before i could sign a contract i was injured which cause me to have surgery and be cut out of a contract. Too good to be true huh? Well let's just say God wasn't quite done with me yet. After picking up at job and consistently training to get back in the NFL I healed up within 5 months and later Signed with the Atlanta Falcons in playing for my home team. This all felt like a dream to me. Just knowing where i come from and the hard work i put in to get to this place. Although shortly after a few months past I didn't sign a future deal. My NFL year was over at that very exact moment. I spend time in Canada playing Canadian football along with some spring leagues football where I decided to give it another try. Houston Roughnecks XFL is where i spend my 2023 season. This where I knew the game is not for long. I learned so much from the game of football that it showed me strength, passion, dedication, hard work, character, self-motivation, accountability, consistency to never give up. I literally witness me change not only my body over time with workouts but my mindset with everyday living and many opportunities. After my football career ended i knew exactly what i wanted to do. I develop a passion for helping underrated individuals that been doubted their whole lives to identify their passion and purpose in life.
